Roper, if you do a search on Youtube you can find a lot of clips of the different shows. The most interesting bits of each episode are (in my opinion) the final fight sections. If I recall correctly the final Judo match where the host that does BJJ with Eddie Bravo fights the Judo champion is quite interesting: He has to try and make use of his BJJ, but he's hampered by the rule set. It's interesting.

The thing that I took away from watching various episodes is that both the hosts generally fare really well against the opposition they are put up against. Not always, but it's often reasonably close and sometimes they even manage to come out on top by a considerable margin (the Sambo episode).

I think what allows them to perform so well comes down to two factors- They're both good athletes (One an MMA fighter, the other a former NFL player and wrestler), and this makes them adaptable and often actually much more comfortable with competition than a lot of the guys they come up against. One of the guys is a successful MMA competitor, so obviously he has a lot of functional ability in different ranges. Even the 'annoying' bald guy seems to able to make good use of his wrestling and size.

Here's the match at the end http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP3kpm4FDZo . Interesting but predictable. Japanese College Champion = World class judo skills. What belt does the host have in bjj?

The judo episode is one of the better ones, seen a few of them.. there excellent.

But the hosts can be very annoying i take exception to yr'man Jason, very skillfull but its like he is auditioning for a part in the next Jean Claude Van Dame movie all the time, as for Bill i think he is on the show for the laugh, nothing better todo..some of the stuff is just for tv and a bit over the top, lots of Karate Kid type training on top of mountains and hills along with comments on how this "xyz martial art is the most dangerous in the world" or were now going to a top secret training facility to learn the secret ways..

watched the Taekwondo episode the other night, the bald guy - Bill Duff got knocked out by a sweat kick from the Korean world champion, but to be fair kicking is not really the Duff man's thing

I thought the episode really showed judo in a positive light. It was good to see some of the other the other non competition techniques that are not usually seen nowadays.

Good to be seen at it was originally intended though do not know if I would get into armour for anything other than a laugh.. bit like dressing up.

I agree the show can be a bit silly sometmes but what is good is that they are trying to show each art in a positive light.

In the savate episode Duff nearly drops the guy he fights with a really nice low kick.
