Anyone know if there's currently a Horse Racing Society in NUIG. If so could someone give me the Auditor's contact details.

    Cheers

There was a "Turf Appreciation" Soc in operation a couple of years ago. They organised some trips to race courses.

Pop your head into the Socs Box and ask.

Yes there is a Horse Racing Society in NUI Galway.

Learn more about them at www.nuighorseracingsoc.com

They have raised over 100k for Charity in the last five years with zero funding from the Societies Office. Their activities are not limited to organising trips to the races, nor are they a 'joke'.

100k? On your own or as part of working with some other larger organisation?

Entirely on our own. This is achieved with a combination of hard work and an aggressive pursuit of sponsorship.

    Anything to do with DAFA?
I was in it a few years back, mighty craic. The C'ham preview night is a top, top event.

All proceeds from the night go to DAFA. This year it is on March 3rd in the Salthill Hotel. More details to follow...
