    Hi,
I have bought a few chess computer machines, usually between 20 - 50. Problem is they are all cr*p and you'd hammer them easily, I don't even play chess seriously, I am just a fun player.
Anybody know any good chess consoles they recommend?
Basically, I need a resonable standard I guess something between 1,000 and 2,000 points that is portable that I can bring on hols etc.
    Thanks a mill

I bought one from the chess shop in London last year , they have a good range of them , forget the brand but has playing strength of 1850ELO ish I think. I can win up to level 5 and then there are 3 other levels that destroy me ( I play aprox 1400 rating).
Kasparov is in the title , maybe Mephisto is the brand?

You could consider online chess? Try gameknot.com, it works quite well, but your opponent isn't always online to finish a game in one sitting - there's a minimum of 3 days or more per move. Just a suggestion!
