    Hi All,

I am doing some servicing work myself. What is the proper way of disposing
of old engine/fork oil, kerosene I used for washing parts, etc?

    Regards,
    zarafiq

I was wondering the same myself, though some recycling centres will take old motor oil.

I'm sure any garage will take it. I'm sure it costs nothing for the garage to dispose of it themselves so they won't mind.

Garages always charge for disposal of oil. Bring it to a recycle centre. It's a non-chargeable item in one of these centres.

I'd check if they take it before turning up with oil. But I know the Ballyogan and Ballymount both take used oil.

Maybe the car that hit you was an environmental nut job who knew you might possibly dump oil down the drain. If you find them we'll get lots of oil for their front garden. Plants love oil as do all small fauna.:D
