P45 question

I just started a job that didn't stick.

I did three days and decided it wasn't for me.

The employer has my PPS number from the forms I filled out on my first day, but I have not yet received a P45 from my previous employer so they do not have one.

I should get the P45 from my original employer this week.

Can I use this P45 for my next job or do I have to wait for a new on from the 3-day employer? Or does that employer not have to issue a P45 seeing as I never gave them mine?

    Thanks

    Brian

assuming you got paid for the 3 days then you will have to wait for the new P45.

Assuming that you got paid and there won't be any problems just send original P45 to the three-day employer and then give the new P45 to your new employer. This way your tax gets sorted out cleanly without any extra paperwork/hassle and unless it drags on badly the staged nature of emergency tax should mean that you'll sort things out on time at the new job.
