    Hi
New to this forum. Anyway to the point...the other night i had a dream about work...not a nice one...basically im with a client and leave her for a few mins, come back and she's stormed out....when i woke up i had a really upset feelin and was like "oh thank god it was a dream".
The next day i was in work and a client came in, and whatever way the situation happened (i wont go into details :D but not my fault - another employees who didnt keep the client happy, but i was in charge that day so i felt responsible) while i had my back turned she very quietly left without saying anything. just picked up her stuff and left the door wide open after her. I turned around and she was gone an i jus got that same feelin as i had after the dream.
I only realised that night that I dreamed the whole scene the night before. Which had me freaked out at first. Like nothing like this ever happened before.
Has anyone else had dreams come to reality? Could it mean that it could happen to me again? or what causes the "foresight" if you will? :D

well yes i had a feeling the night before that i wasnt too sure about that day, like the boss fell ill, i had to call another employee in to cover. but the dream was like a nightmare that you couldnt see actually happening. and when it did..it was freaky.

Also...competely on a different subject, sometimes start humming a song for no reason, turn on the tv or radio and its playing. maybe coincidence.
other times i think of someone i havent talked to in ages and get a message from them or a call. also coincidence? or a 6th sense? :D

Do you think that's unique to you or both those things happen to lots of people?

It happens me all the time. I'm hoping it's a coincidence, because otherwise it's the worst superpower ever! :D

Hi All, interesting reading your posts. Yes that dreaming thing has been happening to me since I was a child, and other things started happening besides premonition dreams when i left college. Start keeping a diary and you may see a pattern developing. Note your dreams, all the details and feelings, and date them. If it gets stronger you will be able to tell people about things before they happen. Thats what ive been doing (only with close friends I trust). I've spoken to two very good psychics about this, one very high profile one, and premonitions are supposedly showing you have psychic ability. Looking at other posts there I see people saying they sing a song and then its on the radio when they turn it on. yes thats happened aswell, but its especially weird when its a song that is not on the radio every day, like an old 70's or 80's song, I was driving my car, singing the song, turned on the radio and this 80's tune came on. Thats weird, and yes the other one about thinking of a person. I was going over memories i had with a former colleague, from years ago, and hadn't spoken to them for over a year, and as i smiled thinking about them while doing the house work, my mobile rang, and it was that person. Really strange! But did you ever see some thing or smell some thing to remind you of a dead relative. I was really upset one day about some thing, and kept asking myself a question, wondering how I'd deal with it, and at my saddest moment I started to smell my grandmothers perfume. This is a perfume that I have never smelled since she died. The room filled with it, and it was so strong. It was such a relief because I felt she was beside me, and started to remember advice she gave me when I was a little girl. It certainly lifted me out of that moment of sadness. There's loads more, will share again some time :-)

This happens to me a lot. Numerous times I have been thinking of someone, and at that second they have walked right around the corner, and basically bumped into me. Really weird!

But how many times have you been thinking of people and they're not just around the corner? It's just pure coincidence but you remember it because you thought it was strange, yet you don't tend to remember the times you didn't bump into people you were thinking about. Hope that makes sense :D

They say that can be telepathy aswell, you start thinking of some one because they are not far away. It's definitely more impressive if it's some one that you have not seen in a good while, some one you don't expect to be in your work space or shopping space etc... I suppose I'd put it down to pure coinsodence if the person works in the same building as me and I'm likely to bump into them at some stage during the week. Did you ever feel you're about to bump into some one because you think you hear them or some one in the room ahead of you etc, but when you get there, there is no one there at all, yet you felt a presence??? It's kinda the opposite of what we were saying. Thats happened to me too, where I'm expecting to say hello because I can hear the cups in the kitchen rattling, or clicking sound of the pen in the room etc, but no one there!! or worse still, the sound of feet, when there are none......?

Ya recon? If there were enough coinsodences in one day would it make you think it's more than that. For example the young woman whose husband dies.. Young woman is still grieving a year after his death, when she gets out of bed a piece of jewellery he bought her with a certain significance about their relationship is right on the beside locker, even though she keeps it in a jewellery box all the time and has not worn it since he died. The same day she's feeling particularly depressed yet when she goes out side the sun is shinning and the wall of red roses has one white single rose in the middle staring at her. The same wall of roses which they argued about, the one where he won saying he wanted all red roses, and she really wanted all white roses...where did that one white rose come from that day?? She loves roses, and every where she goes, she keeps smelling roses. When she turned on the radio their special slow song is playing, even though its a one hit wonder tune that probably hasnt been heard on the radio since the 80's. All coinsodence? maybe - maybe not!

Maybe she took it out and forgot about it. Particularly if she's feeling quite down - it's easy to forget then.

She loves roses, and every where she goes, she keeps smelling roses.
She has the jewellery in her mind from this morning and so is more observant of things that may have been there already, but she hadn't noticed them before. Particularly she might not have been looking at the wall if it was the source of arguments.
When she turned on the radio their special slow song is playing, even though its a one hit wonder tune that probably hasnt been heard on the radio since the 80's. All coinsodence? maybe - maybe not!
There are a lot of 80s tunes on the radio. Again, between her heightened awareness of what's going on and the chance of a radio playing a song...

It's not much to go on, particularly if the person is not in a good place.

OP have you ever had a dream that didn't come true? I suspect that you had lots -- hundreds if not thousands!

I don't know what your dreams usually consist of, but if you regularly dream about normal stuff/life (ie. NOT dreams where you've got a cape and you fly around saving people!), then you're bound to eventually have the odd one that comes true.

It's not even that outlandish a situation either! A customer is dissatisfied with something (or maybe got an important phonecall!) and leaves the place she was in -- probably happens dozens of times every day in Ireland.

I'd say you actually had more dreams come true than you realise. I mean, I could dream tonight that I'm late for college and I get into the lecture, check my watch and it's 9.13am. Tomorrow I could end up being late and check my watch and it's 9.16am. I don't get any strange feeling, because it's a different time. I'm late all the time... so let's say in 3 weeks I'm late again and check my watch and it's 9.13am. I probably won't remember my dream from 3 weeks ago! But it will still have 'come true' I guess. I'm sure it happens quite regularly. If I had arrived at 9.13am the day after my dream, I would probably give it a second thought, but really it's not that spectacular or unusual.

DT Jesus explains it well too....

No there's an example that over rules the coinsodence theory! how about this one, you dream you were about to be attacked by some one, terribal nightmare with specific details that you note. And next day you pass that person on the street! what does that tell you (or me for that matter?) OR you're in nite club (like me in my teens) its packed, and you notice one guy, you've never met before, and know he's going to approach your friend. She laughs (and he has not seen us by the way) two hours later he's chatting her up!! Plus you know the relationship weeks later is not going to go any where, - and it doesnt! OR you dream some thing about your life that is so far ahead, years ahead of you, its not possible to know what it means, but ten years later what you dreamt happens. And when it happens you can't believe it has. I was 15, i had the dream, I was 25 before it happened. Every thing was as it was in the dream. Coinsodence??? Everything to a fine art, what you're wearing, what you're doing, and the man in the dream (who turns out to be your boyfriend) In other words I saw the guy in my dream when I was 15, didn't know the significance, but did when it happend.

Are you still with me or have i lost you yet?

And the dejavu thing....you dream a conversation with some one. A few weeks later your speaking to that person and as soon as , the conversation starts you remember the dream , a bit like dejavu where you feel you've been there before, except because you remember your dream, you know what they#re going to say next, and you know whats going to happen next. moments before it happens, and you cant see much further than 10 to 15 seconds ahead of that, and when what you know is going to happen, happens, you're in another 10 to 15 second cycle where you remember the next part of the dream and what is going to happen next, funnily you can't stop or change it, because you cant see much further than 30 seconds ahead of yourself. I suppose you could just run out of the room when its happening, but i didnt do that, too interested in following through.

Then of course there is the dream where you remember from start to finish what happens, you can try and change things so that it doesnt happen, but a bit like the movie final destination, where you do alter events, the result is usually the same, or similar. For example a dream about a car crash, and so you warn the person, they avoid that trip or journey etc, but end up crashing the car at a later date may be a milder version of the dream, i.e, they dont die. Although i did solve one of my own car crash dreams where i was the one driving my car, and i hit some one. I just changed my car a few months later. That was 3 years ago, luckily so far i havent hit that person at the bus stop, that i dreamed i hit over 3 years ago....did i stop that one?? we'll wait and see.

    Without a doubt.

Do you think that the future is pre-defined and you can predict it?

The logical head on me would say no, but how can i say that when i tell some one about some thing before it happens?? Not by choice by the way, no control, it just happens now and again.

I have had a few odd situations that I think have being weird coincidences. One of the funniest was when I had a sudden thought about the young cute guy on happy days, think his name was scott something..It was a pure random thought and I just wondered what did he look like now as he was always so baby faced..Now I hadnt thought about happy days ever really, only watched it occasionally when it was on and from what I can remember I didnt read anything or see anything that day that triggered the thought. Later that day while channel flicking I came across one that was like a"what they are doing now" and he was on it! It felt strange but not weird!! at least I got to see what he looks like now.:)...and he is still cute!!

I have loads of experiences as detailed above and I know my hubby has to. I do have strong intution or gut feeling

I had a dream many years ago in which my cousin and I were talking about football. He then stopped me talking and said he had to go because he was ready to die. The next morning my mum got a phone call saying that my cousin had died. I'm still kinda freaked out by this to this day even as I'm writing this.

I think alot of these cases have explanations that can be put down to coincidence. You tend to hum popular songs that you've heard alot so its quite probably your radio station plays the song.

Alot of "dreams come true" are probably down to sub concious awareness of things, dream are usually a manifestation of things you've encountered during the day as well as anxieties.

All that said, there are definitely preternatural elements to these sort of occurances. Things we can't explain now, but may be able to one day. As for paranormal explanations? Why not. There are certainly more things in this world than are dreamt of in my philosophy... and my philosophy is fairly broad :)

one of these dreams saved me from a car crash, i cant explain them but i think its a gift! i've had the whole sing a song think of a person thing...but the best had to be when i dreamed a whole day and then lived it!
