    Hey,

I know how to format a usb on windows but have yet to master it on mac. Everytime I delete files from the usb on my mac they are still hidden on the usb and I have to put the usb into a pc to format completely to make space again.

How can I change the settings for the usb on the mac so that when i put files in the trash they are gone......no hidden files lurking anywhere, so I do not have to keep formatting it on the PC.

    It's a fat32 file system on the usb.....and a macboook pro

thanks for any help you can give....I'll be waiting patiently...until I have to format it again on PC!!

The Mac doesn't delete the files it puts them in the Trash Can. To completely delete the files and regain the space they used you must empty the trash with the drive plugged in to your Mac.
