Swords to Tallaght

Half thinking of applying for a job out in Tallaght. If i were to go for it and be successful though i'd like to know what i'm in for. The idea would be to get the bus into town from Swords and then take a LUAS up to Tallaght. Once in Tallaght it's a five minute walk to the location. Depending on the time it can probably take up to an hour getting into town from Swords. However how long should it take me to get to Tallaght from town on the LUAS at the busiest time?

Would you do this commute every day? I know there is worse out there but still would it be a struggle every day?

I get the luas daily from Abbey Street to Tallaght - It takes about 45-50 minutes for me.

45 minutes. Its rarely much longer or shorter.

I work with someone who did it by bus for years, he coped, although when he got a car his life changed quite a lot...

Get a motorbike or failing that a scooter (250cc or maybe 400cc)

You'll fly down the M50 and you can swerve around the toll barriers without paying;)

    Sounds liek a mad journey.

However, I think use the Dublin Bus 142 or www.swordsexpress.com (both use the tunnel) into town and then the Luas.
