Im thinking about travelling Dublin - Chicago in the summer with American Airlines, for the simple reason is they are cheap.

I am wondering if anyone can advise me to use then or not use then.

What is the service like, whats the inflight entertainment like, leg room etc.

Aerlingus are about 100quid dearer so, unless AA are brutal im really tempted by this

I found little or no difference with them and Aer Lingus as I fly that route often.

Do a search, there has been quite a few threads about them previously

It's all much of a muchness between AA and AL these days unless you get the new AL plane.

The AA plane I got on the Chicago route was quite old and seemed very grubby. The movies were old enough and the food wasn't great...but if you get the older AL planes over, the service will be pretty much the same...so save your money!

Do AA fly direct though? AL certainly do, AA might stop over in JFK or somewhere though.

Next time i go back to Chicago is June and we are taking Virgin via Bmi to London. Much cheaper than AL was when i checked and will be an excellent service i hope. The stopover is a pain though.

And is there one big tv or is it individual tvs.

Saw previously that leg room is average, so the qoute is Orlando - Chicago - Dublin for €288, it is worth it or would i be better paying the extra 100 for comfort

    Thanks
