Quickbookhs question

I've just downloaded the free version of quickbooks to give it a spin.
One of the things that I notice with these software packages is that they assume you invoice all your customers.

I sell small items. For example, one customer the other day purchased 1 item for €1. I do not need to record the customers name and address and so on. In fact, I do not need to record each individual sale. What I need is to record say the takings of one week.

How do you set quickbooks up for this?
