Not 100% sure cause i did not look into it. But as far as i know it is 1 for a .mac a/c and i think, Think, it is 5 for a family a/c.

    I was correct above.

Here is something i did not know about a .mac a/c ( or i could have forgot) -- with a .mac a/c you can create up to five email aliases, hmmm. I might drop my hotmail a/c.

So I'm right in thinking that with a family account I can host 5 different websites???

I was trying to find info on the site hosting aspect of it but cant see it anywhere...

Says nothing about web hosting but I assume each .Mac account gets its own site...

Next question, can I buy it in the US as its near €60 cheaper

Afraid not. You purchase .Mac via your own local site same as buying any other Mac product. By the way, you get 10GB on .Mac now; plenty of site hosting to be had on it :)

I think the little irish flag ( top right, computer toolbar) might not like the american code. I don't know, but if you do some google research or check youtube you might get an answer. It is interesting though....... let us know if buying it in a usa store is a better option.

It should work, can't see why not. But then think about the way you can't buy itunes songs from the american itunes site. Hmmmmm.... i wonder if one was to buy american itunes gift vouchers would you be able to buy in the american store. Think of the movies you could buy, No it would not work, no way, the irish flag would not like it.

    It does work... http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=268763

Well it works in the UK so I assume it works here. Think i'll pick one(or two) up when i'm in the states....

Does Itunes use ur IP to figure out where u are or just ur address?? I know when I use my wirecard acc it wont let me buy tunes as the CC is german, tis bloody annoying

I can confirm it works (i.e. buying .mac in the US and using it with an Irish iTunes/Apple account)
