pickup question?

    just lookin for 2 good white humbuckers and one single coil pickup for a custom strat? seen some on ebay for like 20 quid but would they be any good?? id rather pay that that have to pay 50 quid for one humbucker obviously! not including post & packaging but i still want a nice soundin guitar at the end of it! any ideas?

    You get what you pay for. That said, check out GFS pickups on eBay.

    strat pups seem to be one of their strong points too
    (good reports if you do some trawling)

    i got some mean 90 buckers and theu are pretty nice
    have some vintage 59's on the way too

    yeah i had a look at the GFS, they look nice and people seem to like them, i want the strat style pickups though for the humbuckers and the SC, any views on on-board mods too??

    havent heard of them but this is what i mean!:

    theres a les paul for sale in that instrument shop on the quays near the ha'penny bridge with an on board distortion in the back of it, i had a go on it the other day, its pretty cool! theres some perspex on the back that opens with a little hinge and ya can look inside, very clever! :D
