    The only problem is that the standard is 11 years old .

    In fact its the same age as Comreg (when they were called the ODTR) but slightly more useful I should think

    The earlier real trials in 2000ish had DVB-RCT (gone now) which is advanced and allowed 31% phone line less Ireland to have True Interactive feedback on the DTT boxes.

    We should be getting MPEG4 + RCT. There should have been no MPEG2 on current trials, that is only encouraging sales of MPEG2 only boxes.

    It's TV in 2001 wanted to run Internet/Broadband access on DTT + DVB-RCT, but while the system was very fast uplink, comparing mast sector size (possibly 10,000), it was never anything other than a wireless replacement for Prestel/Minitel in terms of speed.
