Acer Travelmate 7512 problem

    Hi

My Acer Travelmate which I bought in September has suddenly developed an annoying problem - whenever I connect it or disconnect it to or from the power supply the wireless connection is lost. This seemed to start one day when I'd set it for maximum power saving when I needed to have plenty of battery time. I went back to an earlier restore point, re-set the power saving to default settings, but the wireless connection is still being lost every time I switch from battery to power supply. Any ideas?

Check device manager, find the Wireless Card under Devices listed, right click on it and check the power proerties settings, there should be options there for leaving it on all the time instead of powering it off when switching to battery.

    Thanks Majiktripp

Thought I'd set that right but on careful inspection found that I had to set the power management seperately for battery and when attached to the mains and I'd only set it while plugged in. All fine again :-)
