Jst wondering if any of ye can play poker on the internet while at college or work.My problem is that only ports 80 and 443 are open on the college wireless internet meaning that I cannot launch any poker lobby e.g. partypoker or fulltilt because they run using a different port!Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

Im in UCC seems they're a bit stricter hereicon8.gif If I try to open any poker lobby nothing happens. I emailed the IT department about it and they said it was because the port was not configured. Was wondering if anybody had any success with port tunneling or something similar?

FitzyFish, Same applies to you. If you want to play poker find an Eircom wireless network that is NOT part of the college network. MUST BE AN EIRCOM NETWORK i.e. eircom 1038 3836

Student Bar down there may have its own wireless. As may any restaurants or shops on campus. Maybe even some nearby houses. I dunno, If ya can find an eircom network, ya can break the Wep password yoke and use that.

There is a website for it but Im failry sure the legality of it is very Dodgy.

you also leave yourself very open to being hacked, if its an unsecured network.

I'm in UCC and believe you me I don't want any poker access here.
That'd be the end of me as far as my course is concerned.

    I'd be very careful OP.

Same as before. Find an eircom network like the one describes. Eircom with a series of numbers after it. When you do, google
you also leave yourself very open to being hacked, if its an unsecured network.

Most of the eircom networks are secure, you are essentially "hacking" into someones network and using it to play poker.

Also, I doubt "hackers" will be interested in a 50nl or 100nl players account.
