    Hi,
I want to get a good torch strong and bright that will last for years. I heard that LED's are supposed to be the best.

What brands should I be looking at?

    Thanks.

Well, if you're okay with cheap and cheerful, I've bought a few torches from here: www.ledshoppe.com

Obviously wouldn't be as good as your maglight/underwater/zero gravity type torches, but they are reliable and very cheap!

The Lenso LED torches that Maplins do are brilliant, very bright. I've got a couple of different ones and they're brilliant (pun intended)
