    Hey,

Has this come out yet? I was in Easons on O'Connell St this morning and there were none. Did I manage to miss an issue?

Got mine in Scotland on Christmas week. Two interesting articles with a WWII flavour, and a review of a gorgeous M1 Garand (8mm GBB) complete with a working magazine clip ejection system that goes 'ping'

Easons in Limerick had 18 Copied when I bought mine.
Every other time I have seen it there has only been 3-5 copies there.
Airsoft must be getting popular if the mag is more available now.

Haha I convinced them to stock more about a month ago since I always found it so hard to track down there and now I've moved back to Meath when they finally get their promised "big" order in. Typical of my luck.

I've been in there on many an occasion in the last few months that people have been picking it up or flicking through it.

Bring in the machine that goes PING!

It's a Marushin beastie. The reviewer did comment on the ejection system being the most insanely complex thing he's ever seen in an airsoft device but also commented that it was at the same time incredibly satisfying to use ;)

Alas, 294fps with a .34g 8mm bb using 134a gas puts it wayyyyy upside of 1j. The figure the reviewer quotes is 1.37j, making the Marushin M1 Garand very much a pipe-dream under current legislation in Ireland :(

I'm gonna place a guess that it's something best saved for back yard use. Inklings lead me to think it's not gonna be a cheap mag to replace should you pop and replace one in the middle of a churned up skirmish field.

Well, they did comment that it's not a skirmish-friendly piece of kit by comparison to what would usually be found (unless you're doing a WWII skirmish perhaps), but it could be used with an adjustment to your play style. Because it's an 8 round mag with a fairly slow cycle between rounds (as opposed to, say, a GBB pistol), you need to work for your shots

... and be careful of where clips go flying ;)

    edit: here we go

At 8 rounds a mag and with them self ejecting after that shot I'd say fire control would be a necessity. My umbridge is that you'd need dozens of said mags and this mind is doubtful even the most cautious among us would return with the full compliment. A beautiful piece but I'd hazard thoughts at a show piece and no more.

True its not terribly practical for skirmishing but dear god i want one!

I'd better pop in to eason soon before they run out of stock though usualy theres plenty there
