Their is a group of about 6 of us who are thinking of going on a lads holiday in July. Would anyone have any suggestions? We are looking for somewhere fairly lively and with plenty of crack.

Just be careful if you end up on hols in the USA and start inquiring where
the best place for 'crack' is ;)

If you could advise of ages and budget and what your definition of craic is
then we may be able to assist.

Go to Switzerland and Austria for Euro 2008, although it might be finished then.
Or else Las Vegas. Or Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, you wont be stuck there!

I wouldn't go to Amsterdam for a lads holiday, a weekend there is enough imo

Had an amazing 4 day trip to Riga in Latvia with some of my mates a few months ago. You could spend maybe 3 days there then get a train to Talinn or somewhere else afterwards.

Don't bother going to the dam for a holiday, theres no sun there and i could imagine a week in that place. your head be wrecked with the junkies hassling yea all the time, and there is not much doing to be done over there anyway

We're all about 26 and we are looking for a lively resort, i thought Maguluf would be full of English no disrespect to them.

if its hot weather, water parks + with bars and music pounding all day, lots of nightclubs / watersports / irish / easy women youre looking for then hersonosos in crete is the best place to go. hands down.

Go to Santa Ponsa, same island as Magaluf. Its the Irish resort. was there 2 years ago with a group of lads, between 22-27. great craic. plus you can head up to Magaluf aswell for a night or two if you wanted to chance it.

Hersonnosis in Crete is good aswell.

They both have what you want in a lads holiday, loads of people around, good bars and nightclubs.

    that's the whole point!

they love the Irish accent and they're mad for it. I know the best lads holiday I ever had was in Kavos which is an English resort (they filmed Greece uncovered there)

Bulgaria is a great spot for a lads holiday, Sunny Beach is very lively with plenty to do during the days and nights!! Sofia is also a great place to go summer or winter. IF you want further info i know someone who arranges package trips tailored for small groups, very cheap with great accommodation!

Of course you are right, the English wouldn't be up for liveliness and craic.

I imagine Santa Ponsa or Courtown would suit your idealistic heathen holiday.

If you haven't booked yet, was in Laganas in Zakinthos last year. Great place for a lads holiday, no hassle , loads of english but they are sound. Love the Irish. As said earlier hersonnosis is brilliant also but all irish. Twas nice for a break not to be all irish.

tenerife would get my vote.hersonissos and santa ponsa etc have a much younger crowd i.e. leavin cert holidays etc. tenerife would have a better choice for things to do during the day and at night its class.clubs go till 6am and at the weekends theres a place that goes till 9am. best holiday i ever had and ive been to most of the resorts around spain etc.

If you went to Hersonnisssos, is Malia the English part safe to visit, i have heard mixed reviews.
