PS3 quirks

My ps3 is flawless most of the time but occasionally it has the following quirks:

The system freezes and won't respond to the controller. I have to do a reboot with the on/off switch to get it back working again.

The controller loses some of its functionality when I'm playing a blu ray movie, i.e. I can't rewind or fast forward the movie

It takes 4/5 attempts to recognise my bluetooth headset and then it drops the connection and I have to reestablish it.

These are minor problems that won't have me rushing back to replace it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?

All of the things sounds like they might be issue with your controller?
Do you have wireless phone/basestation or 360 near your PS3. They all operate in the 2.4GHz frequency range and could be interferring with each other.
The 360 RF technology has been known to cause issues with wireless networks, bluetooth.

Yup , its interference , had the same issue with a bluetooth keyboard for my htpc , the PS3 kept dropping its wireless connections while I was using it , got rid of it and all was well again.

The system freezes and won't respond to the controller. I have to do a reboot with the on/off switch to get it back working again.

this happens to me, seems to be more prevalent since the last firmware update. Normally happens in the web-browser if I open a memory intensive page. Just sits there with the "loading" circlular symbol in the top right flashing until I switch her off/back on again.

Yeah the problems seem to have started after the last firmware update strangely enough.

And yes I've got a motorola H500 headset which is a piece of crap and will be getting repleced shortly. Anyone got any suggestions as to what is a good reliable bluetooth headset that won't interfere with the ps3?
