Is it Gibson or Epiphone?

Why do you need it stripped, I take it you're refinishing it. If so, will it be solid colour, natural, see-thru, burst etc. ?

Considering that Les Pauls are set neck guitars, you're pretty unlikely to find a body on its own, let alone one that's stripped and cheap.

I thought maybe he's looking for his guitar to be stripped, no??

Ok, I'm confused now. OP, care to enlighten us? :)

The comment in bold is a bit contradictary. Care to elaborate? What's the plan for the guitar? :)

Sorry but you seem to be the only rude one in this thread. We can't help you unless you tell us what you want, sorry if you feel its the Spanish Inquisition. It went from asking for a guitar to be stripped to looking for a Les Paul carcass. Your best bet is to look on eBay.

To Jimi_t, its not that easy. Nitromors can melt the binding if you use it on a bound body without preparing it properly and a belt sander can obliterate body contours.

First you wanted a Les Paul, now you just want a Gibson?

Not that I have either, so I can't help.

superxtaylor, if you want people to help you, you must help them to help you. People have asked you some genuine questions. This is not even the right section technically but I'll let it lie for now.

The lower end Epi's aren't bound AFAIK, and you'd need a fairly heavy hand to knock out the body contours on an LP but point taken :D

    (hell, it worked for me!)

haha, I think its a Gibson he's talking about. Nitromors wouldn't put a scratch on poly, I tried before and just made a terrible mess. :(

    careful

nitromors on a polyurethane body will strip it bare. polyurethane is the finish on most american made strats.

nitromors will do nothing to polyester, which is a chemically set finish (not a drying/hardener finish), and is the finish found on mexican made fenders.

poly refers to a lot of different types of plastics - polyester, polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinylchloride.
it's not a catch all term, and to use it as such and use products that work for one kind of 'poly' will end in disaster if you use them on another.

nitromors will destroy your american made fender, but leave your mexican looking new.
