Quick sky + installation question

Have the engineer coming out tomorrow to change from Sky to Sky + and I've just thought of something.

The way Sky is currently set up is we have the main sky box in the living room and 2 bedrooms have cables coming down from the ceiling (coming from the attic I presume I really have no idea). Anyway have the cable plugged into the back of the tv in the bedroom and have sky in the room. Can only watch the channel that's on in the living room. Have switched SKY boxes over the years and there's never been a problem with the cables but I'm worried that installing the Sky + will be more detailed than just switching boxes.

Is there going to be a problem with this?

Each sky+ box installation requires 2 wires from satellite dish lnb.

I've heard that but I have no idea how it applies to the set up i have. This was set up about 15 years ago.

In the living room where the main box is there's about 3-4 cables coming through the ceiling it's just the other rooms there's just the one coming through the ceiling.

Oh well due to have the installer out in a few hours so I guess i'll just ask him and hopefully he'll accept a "tip" to sort it out for me.

Your setup should not be affected. You can still feed the RF output from the Sky+ box to your other rooms and watch the same channel in different rooms.
However since you own your old Sky box you may want to put this in another room and have the Free to Air channels or Sky multiroom there using it. This setup is a bit more complicated as it will mean running an additional cable from the dish to the room where you want the old box.

    Hope this helps

Thanks, that makes sense. (well no idea what RF output means but I get the gist of it!)

Installer isn't coming till tomorrow (Saturday) morning now so I'll say it to him and see what he says.
