    HI
    I just got a new laptop for xmas, and there is supposed to wifi built in but i cant pick up my broadband without a usb wireless device. I have been told to look for a switch but can't find it. I was also told that one of the function buttons will switch it on, but which one??????

    It might help if you tell us what make your laptop is etc? The switch should be on the left hand side or the front, you should also have a light to indicate the wireless is on?

    At a blind guess hit the FN + F2 button on the keyboard and see does a "wireless" indicator light come on...
    Seriously... make and model number would be handy too though

    Firstly, there is a wireless forum,

    Make sure your wireless router is working correctly/turned on, then look at the manual of you laptop for info on turning it on.
