Prob part of the DTV trial - its the same box that was/is used in the UK HDTV trial.
They can be bought from eBay - http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=9744404017
But yea wouldn't have the CAM module & card so wouldn't be able to get any of the scrambled stations

    Hi,

Kerbdog is right - DTV trial. Was suprised when just before Christmas I got a mail offering me a free box from Dept of Comm. I had originally applied 6 months before.

Came with CAM/card/HDMI cable and arial :)

Not sure what stations are scrambled but I get amongst others 6, SKY news, Setanta Golf.........

I would like to be able to record this onto my htpc as the picture quality from the trial is suberb.

Get a DTT card and CI slot for the cam for your PC. The Humax has no data connection out to PC.

The encrypted channels stop when you take out the viewing card, but Free To Air ones keep working.
