Fewer commercial archaeology jobs lately?

    I've noticed that there are fewer and fewer Irish archaeology jobs advertised on the BAJR website lately. Has anyone in commercial archaeology had difficulty getting work in the last few months? I've been out of the loop for a few months now and am thinking of moving to england to dig/supervise. Has the NRA sponsored bonanza finally run its' course?

    ohhh dont say that....being honest I ve heard that applications for licences are down in the DOE....signs of the times!! I m off to find to museum work this year and hope for the best down that road!

    I heard that there are only 3 NRA road schemes this year!! If that's the case there will be alot of lay offs. My contract finishes in April and no sign of any other work with the company but very early days yet.
