    Hi all,

has anyone heard of Wan.net or Wanwiki.net or www.thewan.net or any varaitions of this?

It's a wireless broadband service that seems to be available in my area but I can't seem to get into.

Looks like it's similar to IrishWAN

This would probably be better in the Wireless forum tho.

    www.thewan.net is a split from irishwan.com
The site is run by one of the lads behind www.airwire.ie

    Hi,

you should be able to post in the forums on thewan.net, but not before you register.

The Wan is not broadband, please read this: http://doc.thewan.net/wiki/index.php/About_theWAN

That should explain exactly what the network is about. The network is run by volunteers and it is a split of the IrishWan, as we were looking for a clearly defined rule-set for participating in the network.
