Read on one thread that they had blocked Paddy Power and also Soulseek. Was about to get NTL in as their €50 for cable/phone/broadband seems unbeatable.

Anyone use them, have any problems? I just want to watch pokertube and play Stars. Hate NTL but money talks.

Indeed. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Even their hold music is designed to make you hang up.. or if you hang in there it will fill you with rage.

I have been on NTL BB since the begining and luckily you will never really have to call their customer service in my experience. This year was brutal for them due to the whole UPC and merging chorus and stuff.

I downgraded from the max package to the 3MB one and I have never had any issues with poker clients and I have about 15 installed :)

iPoker (PPP/VCPoker/GJP) does have some strange issues at times with connection errors but no one has figured out why yet (Not nessecerally an NTL only issue) Luckily that too is becoming rare.

So you should be fine with Poker, not sure about this soulseek thing and I think NTL might be playing silly buggers with uTorrent :( but their BB package in general is fairly good.

147 look elsewhere i have ntl there a shower of kunts.
I poker of which paddypower is apart off very rarely works.
I have been on to cistomer service asking why they ban certain sites and they do they deny it,then when i give them the sites to open they cant so they say the sites have banned them?.
If you read the broadband forum here on boards you will see alot of people not happy with ntl.
There was alist of excuses and of course when i rang customer services i got them all.
They blame your modem your router etc.
I have never had any problems with other sites besides the ongame network but iof you looking to play on ipoker id say look elsewhere.

I have NTL, paddypower works just fine. All ipoker network clients appear to (apart from VC, altho if thats an ISP/My Pc/VC problem has yet to be determined)

As for Soulseek, most ISP's are now squeezing and restricting use of P2P clients especially at peak times. Try using Rapidshare.com to get access to your (legal I trust) downloads.
