Lessons for Beginner

I'm a complete beginner at golf and just got a set of irons passed onto me from a family member. I played a few holes at the weekend (about 29 over par on 9 holes :rolleyes:). Despite this score I really enjoyed it and its a great feeling when you hit a sweet shot, albeit they were few and far between on my round!!!

Anyway I'd like to get a few lessons now before I get too set on my bad habits. I'm living in Lucan and would like to get lessons somewhere close by. I've heard there is someone in spawell who gives lessons. These are the names of the available teaching professionals. €40 per half hour lesson or 6 for €200.

    David Lavelle
    Shane Deegan
    Steve Moore
    Jane Leavy
    Hazel Kavanagh

Has anyone got lessons from any of the above?

    Any other suggestions near lucan?

    Cheers
    Georgey

You've also got Jim McBride in Celbridge Driving Range... I don't know any of the ones you mentioned above, but Jim's a nice fella anyway.

Great idea getting lessons from the start - wish someone had told me to do likewise when I first start playing!

looks like its €30 from this website. Hermitage is only 2 mins from me so I've dropped Simon a text message.

there doesn't appear to be a website for Celbridge driving range.

To be honest I've had a lot on lately and haven't got around to it. I plan to arrange lessons over the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted on how I get on.
