Better off going for one with the European maps preloaded on them as they can be sometime be expensive to buy.

Have a few friends with the Garmin Nuvi 250 and it is excellent. Preloaded with Ireland, UK and Europe Maps.

Have a look around for prices as its a common GPS system that many places have and may have deals going for one.

My brother got the Garmin Nuvi 200 for Christmas and thanks to that he got from Dunshaughlin in Meath to Rathangan in Kildare in less than an hour. It normally takes about an hour and a half but the satnav found him a quicker route(plenty of nasty country roads but it was quicker).

using garmin 250 for the past 8 months in ireland and uk ,find it absolutely brilliant, had several other makes out on trial first and found most of them to be extremely unuser-friendly not to mention bad mapping systems

I got the Garmin Nuvi 610t for xmas and find it brill, it even has built in bluetooth support for most popular phones so doubles and a handsfree kit and MP3 player also.

got it for decent prices from expansys.ie @ http://www.expansys.ie/p.aspx?i=144562

The equivalent to the 610t with the EU maps is the 660t http://www.expansys.ie/p.aspx?i=140671

Have a look through the topsellers on expansys also as that should give you an idea as to teh most popular systems out there http://www.expansys.ie/t.aspx?f=25

One thing about the nuvi 200, my brother has told me that you can't update it online so that would be one thing to keep in mind if you're thinking of buying one.
