Did anyone start off loathing this show, and end up loving it?

I must admit, I loved it from the start because it was just good fun, and I do think the cast was very good - it was worth watching for Keith Allen's one liners alone.

Last night's was a bit of a shocker though. Will Marian suddenly appear coming out of the shower? Was Robin just hallucinating in the desert?

And killing off Carter was a mistake. :( If Will is leaving (and that's only an if), they will need a new gang member, and Carter would fit the bill nicely.

It's fairly certain she's dead, long winded marrige and speech as she died then a funeral. Who'l be his love interest next season? Bit of a shocker her getting killed, Il say Billie Piper will join the show.

Jonas Armstrong is to step down as the lead in Robin Hood at the end of the next series.

The actor will depart in what is being billed as an "explosive, nail-biting finale" to series three, currently being filmed in Budapest.

Although Armstrong, 27, is leaving, the door will be left open for the series to continue should it be recommissioned. "Jonas leaving the show doesn't mean the end of Robin Hood," a spokeswoman told Digital Spy. "Robin Hood is more than a man - he is a hero and a legend - so how the legacy unfolds after he leaves is in itself mysterious and is guaranteed to make fans desperate to find out what happens next."

Of his decision to leave, Armstrong said: "Over the last three years I have met some wonderful people and have only amazing memories to take with me. I'm grateful to the fans for their support, but the time has come to take on new challenges and look at new opportunities."

The new series is expected to air on BBC One from January 2009.

Joining the cast for season 3 are Joanne Froggatt, as a character named "Kate" and Toby Stephens to play King John

Corrie star Ian Reddington is taking a bow — in the new Robin Hood series.

The thesp — who played Vernon Tomlin, a drummer married to Liz McDonald in the ITV1 soap — is joining the drama with Shameless star Dean Lennox Kelly.

He said: “I’m going to be popping up with my bow and arrow in Robin Hood next year. I’ve had to grow a shaggy beard, which is really itchy and untidy.”

Ian, 51, said he hopes to return to Coronation Street — after he has finished filming Robin Hood in Budapest.

He added: “I miss Corrie, but I’m good friends with Dean, so it’s lovely to be working with him and doing new things.”

I really cant see how the show will survive without Robin and Marian
