    Hi guys
I will be travelling to bangkok in march and leave singapore in june.I plan to visit cambodia, vietnam and laos in between.I am unsure what to do about money. Is a visa or atm the best way and can they be used in all these countries.Am also wondering about visas. My plan is to organise the thai visa before i go and get the others when i arrive in bangkok. Is this a good idea??? Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Hey, Best to bring a visa credit card AND a Maestro/Cirrus ATM card. As for Visa's you can get them at the border once in Laos, Thailand and Cambodia but you must apply in advance for a Vietnam visa. They're valid for 30 days sometimes more. (I don't have my passport to hand!) If you apply for visa's before you arrive in the country you will pay more money! I've just been through all the countries above in the last few months so feel free to ask anything you like and hopefully I can help.

From what I remember, Visa wasn't as widely accepted as Mastercard. Certainly the one ATM in Luang Prabang in Laos didn't accept Visa. Although I found it better to use the currency exchange booths instead anyway as there was no service charge.
