[REQ:] 2GB+ Camera Memory Card..

Have a Fuji F440 camera..but only have a 215mb card in it at the moment. Had a 1GB but I lost it about a year ago.

Anyway, I'm heading away to Africa for three weeks in January and wont have any access to any computers/Kodak stalls/shops that we have here where I can put the pictures onto a CD/or even get developed when the card is full and what not. So I need a memory card big enough to hold every picture I take out there until I fly back to England/civilisation again!:D

1: Would 2GB suffice ye think?
2: Do I have to put a Fujifilm memory card into it as it's a Fuji camera or can I use another brand of memory card?
3: Any good offers on memory cards out there..need all the money I can keep for my trip as ye can imagine.

    Thanks!:)

Fuji cameras use XD memory cards - the ones mentioned above are SD.
Any XD card should be fine, not necessarily a Fuji one.

It's a 4 megapixel camera so a 2 GB card should hold the bones of two thousand photos.

try 7dayshop.com for XD cards - I see an olympus 2 GB one for 17.99 stg.

oh - and if it was me I'd get a couple of 1 GB cards, just in case somthing happens to one.

You can use any brand of XD card unfortunately it's hard to find cheap ones - Shop4memory.com/MemoryC.com(same company) seem to have the best price - some slightly cheaper ones to be got on eBay but you could be waiting a bit for delivery as most are from Hong Kong.

According to the link I posted, that SD card will work in the following Fuji cameras. https://www.dvd.co.uk/product.asp?id=SD2GB

    Fuji
    FinePix A610, FinePix A800, FinePix A805, FinePix A820, FinePix A825, FinePix A900, FinePix A920, FinePix F40fd, FinePix F45fd, FinePix F47fd, FinePix F480, FinePix F50fd, FinePix S5700, FinePix S5800, FinePix S700, FinePix S8000fd, FinePix Z100fd, FinePix Z10f

Maybe it's only some models that require XD cards.
