    Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can apply for a J1 for the summer between graduating from your undergrad and starting your masters? I know you have to be in full time education or have a job to come back to, but I don't know whether you're classed as a student for the few months between degrees?

    Thanks :D

Ya you can. You have to show them your application at the emmbassy interview, all they want is proof that your going to go home again and a masters would be a reason to come home.

Ya definately, they brought it in for the first time last year that final year students can travel the summer they finish, just have to have proof that you're coming back i.e. job offer, further studies, etc. Who ever you book it with will fill you in anyway, good luck with it wish i was going again!

Thanks a mill for both of those.

I just got back from spending a yr abroad in America with college and miss it SO much. The only thing putting me off the J1 is I have two family weddings and my own graduation about 2 weeks apart so I'd either have to leave pretty late or come back for 6 weeks half way through it :(

Actually does anybody know if any job offer will do for them or does it have to be related to your college coarse?
