leaky conservatory

    firstly i dont know if i'm posting in the right thread, but to me it is a consumer issue.
    we recently got a conservatory built from a company ( reason i'm saying company is,it was built by a crowd that specialises in conservatories) all was ok till it rained a while ago. Damp patches appeared, i got one of the managers out and explained the problem and he said it was a quick job to fix.
    Today however it has got a whole lot worse and the patch/leak is now going from the top of the conservatory all the way down. it was paid for in full when they finished the job ( supposedly)
    leak is amongst other stuff wrong but this is the main problem.

    Have you a receipt for the job ? if so get onto the boss again, tell him your not happy and want it fixed if they dont fix it get a solicitor.

    yep i do have a receipt, i've tried talking to the manager but all i get is excuses about him not being there.

    Contact them once again, stating that you will involve your solicitor unless you hear from them within a certain defined time frame. Send this notice in the form of a letter via registered post to the manager and note all details of the correspondence.

    If this action does not lead to a satisfactory result, then contact a solicitor and seek legal advice.

    BTW, if your claim is for less than €2,000, then you can lodge a case with the Small Claims Court without needing to approach a solicitor.
