Did I steal this line from a movie?

    ...or did I write it?
Every day I pray forgiveness, so that the sins I will commit shall not engulf my soul

does it ring any bells with anyone? I found this line in an old script I wrote and I think it might fit in nicely with a newer script ive written, however this is the one line i do not have recolection of writting at all.

It was original before you posted it up here. Unfortunately I have just added it to my script which goes into production tomorrow so it will forever be credited to me.

In all seriousness though, Im not familiar with the line. Sounds like something from a Silent Hill game...

it is that kinda darkley themed script although not a horror more Oldboy meets True Romance (my pick for FOTW this week). but if anyone recognises it please say i dont like plagerising (atleast not word for word) and would change it, even though iot really does fit the script. Really cant remember writting it at all and i can remember ever other line from the old script which makes it extra odd.

I dont reconise it. But it is Very cheesey

its said by a character that has had the love of his life killed infront of his eyes, been tortured and left for dead after he has completed his first act of Vengeance and when he is questioned about how he can justify continued acts (against the more key figures involved). It is cheesy but co-incidentally the characters best friend who keeps him based in reality/from going off the rails in a brief moment of levity makes fun of him for his "cheesy" tone directly after this.

it might not be plagerised but it sounds a little cliched, is the lead male a very religious person?

he actually isnt overly religious infact the only other very religious thing to do with him i can remember off-hand is a brief shot of him leaving a church and that is only used because for plot reasons he had to be somewhere/indesposed on a sunday morning. Prehaps it is just cliched and that is why on finding it i was not sure I wrote it i.e it has a familiar feel to it already. and Havok like i said yes its quite cheesy but thats essentially pointed out to the character in the script.

my point is, if you aren't going to develop him as a religious person, why would he ever say anything about prayer or atonement. It's just very cliched to bring religion and sin into a movie about a murderer.

That dosent make it any less chessey. But then again I have never been a fan of melodrama
