Walk in places to get poster size or 30x20 prints

Hi everyone

Just wondering if there are any walk in places to get large prints. Have a photo I want large size but dont want to have to wait!

Its a pressie for the wifey! And I am goin away on Monday so was hopin just to get it tomorrow if possible. I may have to resort to photobox but would like to get somewhere else if possible.

PS Is there anywhere to get photos at A1 or A0 size? I know photobox just goes up to 30x20.

Go to Nassau Street. There is an open area just beside The Kilkenny Design shop. In that area there are steps leading up to a copying place (think it used to be Reids) - they will do prints up to HUGE. I got a 48" x 36" for about €0.

Hacketts on baggot street do this stuff. They pretty much start at A1 size and go up. They have a number of different paper types (finish etc) and prices vary accordingly. As for the max size. The paper is rolled, so A0 height x 10m, would be possible if you had the image

i can do up to 24" on the shortest side if that helps

I do use high quality papers etc so wouldnt be as cheap as some of the mass production places

only other thing is i am away at the moment, I wont be back to early january

I can also do canvas prints etc


but I dont want to be pushy so if you find somewhere else, for example sheldon at sheldon photo can do them, hes in malahide.

Harvey Norman do them while you wait, cost me €45 for A1 in Blanch sold them for €100

I charge 37 euro for an A1 print, thats on fuji hunt pearl paper which is a heavy (290) luster type paper

I see what you mean, although its not a kid section as such.

The gallery is actually a people gallery, but i do kids portraits sittings as its really my favorite subject matter. But thank you for pointing it out

RIght Ive given up on walking in lol!

Went into Harvey Norman, I had a 44Mb 6000X9000 approx file which by my reckoning at good 300dpi printing will give a high res print at 30x20 inches approx.

The guy in the shop dint really know about pixels sizes and how to relate it to size when talking about dpi so gave up on that as he kept going on about "lets resize it in photoshop" and that was gonna change the resolution.

Anyway, whats a good place for large format, a place where I can maybe email the file, get them to look at it and print it at a decent size at the res I want and a place that knows what they are doin so I wont waste my money on a large format print!

I can give you a FTP access to my server and then print at up to 24" on the shortest edge on Fuji Hunt Pearl as I mentioned above

Actually print res should be 360dpi * length * Width

well thats for large format epson inkjets

I think you should have adopted the 'i know best sonny!' ;o) Indeed your 6000x9000 will give you a very nice 20x30 print. Why not fire it into the machine and see what comes out - the chappie behind the counter would be impressed (and have learned a lot!) ;o)

For online service I have used snapfish to produce a 20x30 poster print for me. They are a HP company. Darn good value too ! €9.99 plus postage. Only drawback for me is that it was only available in a gloss finish - but for €9.99 it was great. Would have liked matte/lustre.

Yes I was tempted but my confidence was lacking and at a high cost for an A1 print dint wan take the chance!

A1 is €40, and prints up to 44" wide available, ready next day.

No its the 10000CF. it has 2 paper feeds which suits us. We print on Pearl, Matt, canvas, Self adhesive, Back lit film, and banner material, so less time changing.
We also run a 7600 for smaller work.
