    Hey Guys,
Need help! Would b great if anyone could give some advice!

This year I am travelling to South Africa to work. I leave my Girlfriend whom I love very much in febuary and I am due to return in the middle of may. This will be tough on me and my girlfriend so to soften to blow i am going to take two weeks off at the end of my work and bring her out for some fun and to see africa. I was thinking of going maybe t Mozambique and this is a very romantic spot (or so I have heard).
Has anyone got any ideas on good holiday ideas for Mozambique or anywhere else in south africa! I would really appreciate it but most importantly, any ways to keep it not too expensive. the cheaper the better!

    Thanks very much

Would you think of heading up to Livingston in Zambia perhaps and see Victoria falls (largest waterfall in the world)..while there you can do a spot of bungee jumping if your daring enough..a safari..canoeing..

I might do..would that be as romantic as Mozambique do you think? Mozambique looks like it could be really romantic.
But ya, I would be interested in the likes of what you are saying?!

Mozambique is an amazing country. Have been there a few times with work. I was last there in 1996, soon after the end of the Civil war, so am not sure what it is like now. Then it was very run down but very interesting.

It was quite a sad place to go, sad to see the number of ppl with missing limbs. There has been a lot of investment from South Africa so i am sure that things are a lot better than when I was there. Your best bet is to hean up the the northern coastal areas away from Maputo. There is some lovely coastlines up there and the scuba diving is stunning.

When I was there, street crime was very low, as nobody had anything. I understand that that has changed and street crime has increased. As with most of Africa, it is best to be discrete and not draw attantion to yourself, ie no jewellery or flash watches etc, and not flashing money about.

As i say it is a while since i was in Mozambique but i did enjoy it.

Someone else mentioned Victoria Falls. If you get the chance you have to go. Normally i would reccomend seeing it from the Zimbabwe side but given the current situation in the country, i cant now. I have been to Vic falls 3 times and everytime i see it, it takes my breath away, a truely stunning place. If you can go, you have to go, you wont be dissapointed.

Opps another place to consider is the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. A stunning place with excellent wildlife

Hi, Mozambique is wonderful. What I'd worry about is Malaria it is 100 percent rife there. If you do go, go straight to a five star resort and make sure they spray daily. I would take tabs too. Another great african destination is Tanzania.
