ITs christmas sandwhich time, and thought I'd survey peoples fave xmas sambo.

For me its the classic stuffing, ham and mustered on some very white bread.

Just had an unusual one which blew the tastes buds out of my mouth:

White roll/real butter/sundried tomatoes/2 sliced sausages from xmas morning/ big slice of ham/tesco finest Brie

Glass of Rioja to wash down! Burp

Great thread (seeing as I just had such a sandwich ;) )

Wholemeal bread, turkey, ham, wholegrain mustard, smoked cheese, ballymaloe relish and Taytos and Carlsberg on the side.

I think he had an added slice of gravy soaked bread in the middle though? Maybe one to try.

Just had my second down under Christmas. The sandwich the day after is a sight to behold.

Turkey, Ham, Pork, Beef, Lamb, Stuffing and Gravy all on some very fresh bread. It almost sounds like too much meat but it's not!

    Mmmmmmmm

Nobody puts on cranberry sauce?! MADNESS

Turkey, lettuce, a nice Edam, mayo and mustard. I'll put a word in for strawberry jam and cream scones as well, although its not strictly a sandwich.

    :D

Not exactly. The g/f comes from quite a large family. 25 at Christmas "lunch" this year. They do all the meats. It's bloody fantastic.

And it's all followed by a seafood buffet about 5 hours later.

Cut a bagel in half, grab some cheese and put it on. Followed by ham. After the ham you dash on the BBQ sauce and top the sauce with chicken. cheeze on top of the chicken is optional but reccomended. Toast in the George Forman and its orgasmic

Me between the Olsen twins. Yum.

Seriously though, it's the same as it is at any time of the year: chicken breast, mayo and chopped green pepper on kingsmill multigrain.
We don't do turkey at ours for xmas...usually do nice roast beef or fillet steaks. In the event of drunkeness I can usually force a cold roast beef sandwich or two down me...on white bread with lots of butter.

my best of the season was: turkey, ham, lettuce, mayo and stuffing. I knew at the time of eating I was missing something, this thread let me know it was mustard, if there's any meat left I'll be making one similar for Vanishing Point later

We watched Tom Hanks in the Terminal last night, did you ever try alternating cracker layers with ketchup and mustard, press hard for oozie effect. Reminded us of our student days.:D

A roll with turkey, iceberg lettuce, cucmber, red/yellow peppers, a little mayonnaise and maybe some jalepenos if I'm in the mood!!

I find Christmas ham great in a cheese toastie too.
