Above all Else the triumphant return of PT Anderson = "There Will Be Blood".

Also I really feel this is going to be Daniel Day Lewis's career defining role and not My Left Foot (which he even won best actor for!)

The ones in bold, I'm REALLY looking forward to

    Lust, Caution
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
    No Country For Old Men
    Juno
    There Will Be Blood
    Be Kind Rewind
    Iron Man
    Leatherheads
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull
    The Dark Knight

    The X-Files 2
    High School Musical 3

Okay, maybe not the last one! :D

    X-files 2
Come on, does anyone need a reason to be excited bout this? It's the freakin' X-files! Though one thing I'm a bit iffy about is the fact it's got Xzibit .. and Billy Connelly.

    Star Trek
I'm just dying to see how these youngins compare to the original crew of the Enterprise. No William Shatner cameo though, apparently but supposedly
There'll be a Leonard Nemo one?

    The Dark Knight
Can't wait to see how this one turns out! I absolutely adored Batman Begins though the Scarecrow could've been a bit .. cooler .. in comparison to Batman: TAS

    Cloverfield
Has the trailer lived up to the movie? We'll soon find out.

AvP Requiem because it looks like it's going to make up for that sham of a first film.

The Dark Knight, no explanation required.

Some great looking films on the horizon:

Juno: At the moment, probably my most anticipated film. Terrific cast, likable plot, promising trailer, and glowing reviews. Looks like the kind of quirky comedy drama I usually very much enjoy.

No Country for Old Men: Finally, the Coen Brothers are meant to be back on form. Through, there were only really two duds (and Intolerable Cruelty was decent enough on it's own terms) but will be nice to see them tackling something serious again.

The Dark Knight: Batman. Nolan. Bale. Joker. And so on.

There Will Be Blood: I trust PT Anderson to deliver an interesting experience. Again, great cast, reviews and trailer, so hopes are high.

    Three more Futurama movies: woo!

Wall-E: looks obnoxiously cute in the way only Pixar can do successfully.

Margot and The Wedding: Middling reviews, but Im a big fan of Noah Baumbach, so will still be worth a watch hopefully.

Be Kind Rewind: Terrific concept from my sometimes idol Michel Gondry. May be more throwaway than his previous work, but still very promising.

Ponyo on the Cliff: New Miyaskai is always a cause of celebration. Hopefully we'll get a release within the next 12 months, although probably not :(

OH, and India Jones of course. Now that is going to be an event movie worth watching, and thankfully Spielberg and not that hack Lucas is behind the camera :) Although I fear his influence may still rub off...

    AvP:R - Headsplosions
No Country For Old Men - Coens
Juno - George Michael and his dad!
Be Kind Rewind - Good concept, looks fun
Iron Man - trailer looked great
Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull - "Indy, they're digging in the wrong place!"
    The Dark Knight - z0mg

    Don't forget,
My Name Is Bruce - The Chin in his own movie!

An original Irish movie that is made by intelligent people with something to say and who actually know the difference between a feature film and a TV drama.

No Country For Old Men - Coen Bros., even at their worst, are well above the average director and this, supposedly among their best, should equate to good stuff. The trailers certainly work and, as much as we can knock IMDB, a placing of #15 surely indicates something's right (and that's not withstanding it already receiving film of the year accolades).

There Will Be Blood - P.T. Anderson's done some good work (if not much of it) and it's after receiving rave reviews in the States - Daniel-Day Lewis' performance is being hailed in some quarters as the best of this century and favourable "Citizen Kane" comparisons are coming in. Paul Dano showed a good bit of promise in "Little Miss Sunshine" (which I re-watched last night), so it's an interesting cast.

Juno - Sure the sort of quirky comedic look at modern life is everywhere in the indie movie field these days, but this looks a bit fresher. It's also got a cast picked out from some of my favourite US shows and it's riding on the back of strong reviews as well.

The Dark Knight - Enjoyed the first so bringing the team back, plus a rather freaky interpretation of the Joker, should make for a good Summer blockbuster.

Wall-E - He's absolutely adorable and he's in the hands of Pixar. I want my own toy already.

Trust me, everyone waiting for No Country for Old Men, it's well worth the wait. Even if it causes a few arguments, it's a masterpiece

No Country For Old Men - ''The best reviewed film of the year'' makes this look like a cracking return by the Coens.

The Dark Knight - Hopefully Nolan and crew can do as good a job as they did with the excellent Batman Begins. Trailer looks brilliant.

Cloverfield - One of the most interesting marketing campaigns of this year has me quite excited about J.J. Abrams' ''monster movie''.

Indiana Jones and the.. - Fingers crossed...

Wall-E - Looks like you'll leave it with the same feeling inside you as leaving Ratatouille - and that sounds great :)

Choke - I'm a big fan of Chuck Palahniuk's novel so hopefully this will impress.

Iron Man - I'll admit I'm becoming slightly tired of some the comic-book adaptions so maybe this will change my mind.

Juno - It may sound like what we've all seen before, but it promises to be a whole lot more. Great cast and positive reviews make this sound very promising.

There Will be Blood - Hopefully it'll live up to the reviews.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - The return of David Fincher and Brad Pitt together is enough to make me excited about this.

Righteous Kill - 50 Cent may have put a big damper on this one, but it should be great to see De Niro and Pacino together again.

The Judd Apatow films on the horizon - There's quite a few of them coming up, so hopefully they'll be as good as the current form.

Just looking at release dates there, I actually think the next month and the half could be one of the best film seasons in quite a while:

No Country For Old Men, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Cloverfield, There Will Be Blood, Juno, Be Kind Rewind, Walk Hard, The Savages, Sweeney Todd: all out within the next five / six weeks and all look like they will be worth a watch.

I will have to browse Wiki, I love when I just randomly stumble upon a page that indicates a movie is coming out. However I heard a Police Academy was coming out but sadly not the case.

Yeah could be interesting (although I thought the book was only slightly above average: bit overly sentimental). Good cast: Rachael Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Michael Imperioli (from the Sopranos), Susan Sarandon. Isnt out 'til 2009 (don't know how a film like that is going to take so much post-production time: probably Peter Jackson getting a bit over indulgent with the 'heaven' effects).

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of The Crystal Skull - Eh..its Indiana Jones...

The Dark Knight - I absolutely loved Batman Begins. I can't really see this being a disappointment.

AvP2 - Love both of the film series. I know this one will be muck. I don't care.

No Country For Old Men - Big fan of the Coen Brothers films. Also Cormac McCarthy does write a good book. Seems like a winning combination to me.

Cloverfield - Just to see what the fuss is about really. Also I can't help but be attracted to a "giant monster attacks a city" story.

Diary of the Dead - I love zombies.

Day of the Dead - See above.

There will be Blood - Daniel Day Lewis is one of the best actors in the world and one of my favourite. Any film he's in, I look forward to.

The next X-Files film - Loved the series, and read that this one wont be based on the on going alien storyline from the series but rather a standalone monster/ghost type story. Since I always preferred those episodes to the alien coverup ones thats all I need.

Punisher: War Zone - Ok so the Punisher films don't have the best track record but at least this one wont have John Travolta, that must count for something right?

The Happening - I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic fiction, even if Shyamalan's last few film have been duds.
