I'd take that over my mother having her usual xmas tantrum as she stresses over Christmas dinner.I'm back home now and am getting nicely inebriated so feeling better about it all now.

Woke up at 7.30 with little recollection of how last night ended, got a taxi at 8am into work and did little/nothing in work until 4pm, when I got home.

Then heated my stir-fry dinner and tucked into a bottle of JD, which I finished in record time. Which leads me up to right now.

If I were you I would have cooked those 4 extra dogs over your fire. You could have basted them with your whiskey, beer, and wine, then added a sprinkle of weed over the top. Now that's a christmas dinner. I'm sure you could fit porn in there somewhere too. Maybe of you just cooked 3 of the dogs and....

If I was your mother I would whip your arse red raw for not appreciating the effort it takes to pull off your christmas dinner.
Thankfully my family have more sense, so the only thing that physically bore the brunt of my frustrations was a roast potato that looked at me funny.

    I had a great christmas :)

MrJoeSoap thats pretty good progress , well done,. Fcuk the begrudgers, you sure don't mess around.

I'm a an amateur compared to yourself, but i assure you I'm testing some rather tasty cider right now and I reckon it shortly will have the desired effect and I'll become a time traveller again (did you watch Dr Who earlier?, it was pretty good I think), i find after the 10th strong bow tinny that |I can time travel better than David Tennabt, but what he he know being a poncy actor.

I am the only person in Ireland who didn't know it was Christmas Day until about 7pm. I got all my presents a week ago so I got lost in the space/time continuum.

Textbook Christmas, good presents and my sister did all the cooking so no mental mother going nuts over the dinner not being done - The mother's in New Zealand with me other sister.

Crap christmas, dosed with what I now suspect is a mild flu. No appetite, didn't eat dinner. No wish for alcohol, chest too f*cked up to have a a doobie. I have the heat blaring but lyng here in a monkey hat and fleece shivering all day; cannot get warm.
Amazon/Royal mail screwed up and only sent half the sh*t I ordered on time, so my mum's present, books and DVDs are sitting in some sorting office someplace and I look like a c*nt. Been in bed most of the day and have no desire to get up.
Other than that it's been fantatstic...

Er... ya... sounds great fun

I got up about 10am. Exchanged gifts with my flat mate. We were hosting christmas dinner. From luch time friends started arriving.
One of our friends is head chef in a restaurant. They cooked eveything and made cake :D
9 people for dinner and drinks.
Played a few Buzz games on the PS, poker, drinking games and watched some Billy Connelly along with Pulp Fiction.

    Good day.

I feel your pain. I spent all christmas eve coughing and spluttering, snot running out of my nose in rivers. Charming. I went to bed at half 10 after a christmassy ted on RTE2, had one of those sweaty feverish sleeps which involved me dearming about terry pratchetts 'hogfather' ALL NIGHT. (i will never, ever watch that again). Felt like id been hit by a truck christmas morning, but i sucked it up, doped myselfup on neurofen, antibiotics, cough medicine and the day was savlaged. Still feel a bit crappy but if its any consolation ive had it 3 days now and seem to be over the worst of it (i pray, as im off to america on friday!)

Thanks for the sympathy 0ubliette....ouch, 3 days? damnit, I have relative visiting to do tomorrow, most of them elderly. Don't want to spread this and cause more illness.
I'm usually over this kind of thing in about 2-3 days....reckon those two nights on the sauce at the w/e coupled with plentiful trips to freezing cold smoking areas screwed over my immune system.
    To the medicine cabinet!
