Hi I Recently got a New PC and got an Aver Media Hybrid DVB-S/Analogue Card. (Avermedia A700) I already had MCE set up and have succesfully got the MCE Remote, the EPG for NTL Digital set up, However I can't get the Signal onto the PC with the Cable out to RF in on the Tuner Card. Any Advice? What are my options for sending the Signal to the Tuner Card?

    Hi,
Using MCE with a set top box is a little different than using the analogue feed directly. You have to connect your PC to the set top box via the scart output of the STB (by connecting it to the composite inputs of your video capture card (I presume it has the red/white audio connections and yellow video connnection)). You'll need a scart to RCA adaptor too (something like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=28102&criteria=scart&doy=23m12).

You'll also need to connect an IRBlaster from your PC to the receiver on your set top box (so that your PC can tell the STB to change channel).

Lastly, you'll need to re-run the "Set up TV Signal" wizard in MCE, telling it that you're using MMDS and not analogue. This will download the appropriate EPG.

    Hope this helps.
