Was in town today like an eejit doing allll of my christmas shopping. Anyway spotted a holga kit, much like the white stripes ones you know, just without the whole WS thing. Looked fun, was wondering if anyone has used one or anything and how you found them?

I got one a while back from HK still have to develop the film so other than that. I can't tell you anything else

I *heart* my holga. It's even more fun now I've started developing my own film, and I love the square format. But i need a bit of colour - must put some slide film through it. Fajitas also uses one, mostly with a home-made 35mm adapter so the image actually goes onto the whole frame, including the sprocket holes... v. cool.

Best buying from ebay so you get one for €30ish though, don't fork out for the kits in the shops here - it's a rip off.

Here's some of my pics from last summer at a vintage car rally :)

Cheers, would love to hear more about this home made adaptor business.

Holgas are great fun - I'd second everything Elven said.

I paid just about 30 quid for mine, and I get the film from 7dayshop or mx2.co.uk.

    I like mine.

Have put hundreds of rolls through, rarely scan them in though... pics I take on it are for me.

it's a fun camera format and if i had a film scanner i'd use it a bit more. i've used it for band portraits to good effect and also had it in the pit at a couple of gigs but never got anything great due to the f8 aperture and the lack of light

if you're shooting any gigs in the next few weeks in the ******* or ambassador let me know and i'll bring mine along and you can take a few shots with it if you like

DotOrg, if you fancy getting another one, you can bore it out to about f/5.6 and get some sharp results, 2.8 might be possible, but you'd be looking at some very soft photos...
