Hey, I have a video file which was deleted to the recycle bin (it's an avi video file - 700mb in size). When i try and permanently delete it from the recycle bin the dialog box pops up that says it deleting and calculating time remaining. I never get past this screen. (i've included pic below to show you what i mean - this was taken about 5 minutes after i tried to delete it)

    Any ideas???

    Did rebooting help?

Is this still happening after you've rebooted? If so, "restore" it, then click on it, and press <shift> + <del>, see if that helps (this bypasses the recycle bin, and deletes it instead).

EDIT: Fastest finger first, biko! :P

Ok, I eventually got around to trying this out, i restarted & tried to permanently delete the file from the recycle bin but same thing happens.

I went to restore the file, but that didn't work either, same dialog box thing (except this time moving instead of deleting) popped up...

    AH!!!

Ok, so I did a system restore to a point from 2 days ago (before the file went into the recycle bin) and when i restarted and tried to delete the file and it worked!

So whatever the problem was, it's now solved... :D
