    Ok,

Is there any reason why a Vodaphone pay as u go phone cannot txt to one particular number?

All other txts work and I can phone this particular number (which is another Voda Pay as u go phone). It used to work fine, but for some reason stopped a couple of weeks ago, and it's only to this one number.

    Appreciate your thoughts.

    I would suggest ringing Vodafone.

before hand, copy you message centre number down, then clear it, put it back in and turn the phone on and off because it may work and if it doesn't customer service will tell you to do it anyway.

Can this person receive texts from other people?

just discovered there's a 'reply via same centre' setting on the phone. it was set to 'no'. does this matter?

I've changed it to yes to see what happens. still works with one phone, but can't check the 'problem' number till tomorrow.

    Hi

I think you should set that to NO, not sure but my understanding to that is always been that if it's set to YES it uses your message center number of the person that sent it to you, if that's correct I don't think it will work.

    Regards

"reply via same centre" should be set to no.

Try typing the persons number manually rather than selecting from your phonebook.
Try your SIM in a different phone and see if the same problem exists.
    Try a SIM replacement.

You should have course report this to customer care now and after each step.
