newbie question re laptops

    hi i've used a desktop for the last few years but im thinking of getting a laptop.the specs are below. but a couple of questions. will i be able to use the wired broadband connection to my desktop on the laptop instead and will i need any more accosiories for the laptop like pccards,power cables etc Intel Celeron M530
    . 1024MB RAM
    . DVD Rewriter
    . Wireless LAN B/G
    . 80GB Hard Disk
    . 15.4" WXGA Screen
    . Windows Vista Home Basic

    You will be able to use the wired connection for your broadband on the laptop. You can also use the wireless if your modem is a wireless modem. It will come with the power cable needed. Just to let you know that spec looks a little weak. I presume the laptop will be running vista. If so you might want to look at getting a better laptop.
