I'm not a BJK fan but when hardy ran over 3m at aintree in 2003 he either didn't stay or was feeling the effects of a hard race at cheltenham. I just feel that BJK is a bit of a suspect stayer in a top class, truly run race also.

I think special envoy is nailed on in this race because he was only beaten 4 lengths by inglis drever last time out and in my own opinion i think that inglis drever is ten times better that BJK. Special envoy will get the trip which will be vital on saturday if the weather there expecting comes ( rain and more rain) I think hardy and BJK will find this to much of a slog. So all my christmas drinking money is on special envoy:D:D so it will either be a sober one or a merry one:p:p

This is the most ridiculous post ive ever read. The last time BJK met ID over 3 miles on a flat track ( Aintree this year) ID was no where to be seen at the finish, not that it means much as ID is an out and out stayer and needs a good slog but it just proves how idiotic your post is

Im looking at Oscar Park for this one.

The way things are going, I'm worried that Hardy won't make it back at all. Black Jack clearly doesn't stay, they should drop him back.

He has a chance to get the trip on good ground which he should get @ Ascot so I wouldn't write BJK off just yet

No offence but your insistence (near obsession) with BJK over 3m when its blatantly obvious he doesn't stay in a top class, truly run race is also pretty senseless.

I may have to admit defeat here m8, but its full steam ahead for the Champion Hurdle now. 2008 Champion hurdler Black jack Ketchum:D

Sublimity and Harchibald will be the first two home in the Champion Hurdle in 2008.

Hardy will win the World Hurdle. He stayed today.

I really can't understand this mental block people have with BJK, hardy beat him over BJK's supposed ideal conditions today and yet still people still talk about him. Hardy Eustace will beat him over 2 miles, 2.5 miles or 3 miles on any ground, it's as simple as that.

i just wonder did the run in the cleeve hurdle last year break BJK, invincible before it albeit against novices but Blazing Bailey turned the form around immeasurably there, and hasnt been nearly as smooth since.

Not a chance in hell, he may have stayed today, a bit suspect if you ask me but IF he runs in the Stayers race he will be at best 3rd maybe not even that good. Inglis Drever will be will be far too good for him and possibly wichita lineman aswell

With the exception of his second placing at Aintree BJK has never beaten a decent horse and Inglis Drever(should not have run as this was a bit of an afterthought) and Mighty Man had both had very hard races at Cheltenham where he had fallen and was consequently fresher. All his novice wins were against second rate(at best) opposition where he achieved a rating way in advance of his ability. He has been hyped up but there is little substance to back it up with.Even thinking back to his novice days he went for the easy option at Cheltenham because I suspect the trainer knew he wasn't up to competing with the top class performers. He is a decent horse but a good bit below top class.

Aye, they went for the Brit Insurane Hurdle at Cheltenham with BJK, and interestingly, they also did the same with Witchita Lineman.
Maybe WL isn't the real deal either?
