hi im getting an error message when trying to move mail from my inbox to an archive individualy, error says file cannot be moved or deleted. Its some pain. created a new archive which seems not to be doing much, can some on help me please as i am very hungover

Is the mail open in another window, or maybe an attachment from it is open?

If it's the old format Outlook PST / OST and you have hit the limit of 2GB , so you have to delete emails from the recycle bin to free up enough space to move them.
