    hey
    Full details as follows;

    From the 1st of January 2008, you'll get a rate of 4.3% on balances up to 1 million EUR and a rate of 3.95% on balances over 1 million EUR. As the straight talking online bank, we want to keep our savings offering simple so you'll still have instant access to your money, no strings or catches. All rates are variable CAR and subject to DIRT. Our new rates offer an all round better deal for lump sum depositors. In fact, if you have a balance of 23,000 EUR or higher, you'll earn more interest on our 2008 rates than our 2007 rates. And don't forget our Term Deposit offering. We've increased our rates on all Term Deposits from 1 month to 5 years. All you need to get started is 500 EUR. Why not split your savings between our demand account and Term Deposit accounts to maximise your return

    Thanks for the heads-up, who is offering a better rate on demand accounts?

    Cheers

    Look here for more info on rates etc. Just make sure to actually check the banks websites as sometimes AAM are slow at updating the 'Best Buys' forum

    No, the bonus rate for balances up to €10,000 has been abolished and all savings will now get 4.3%

    I guess it sort of makes sense - they've realised their not getting much long-term value out of "rate tarts" who stick 10k into Rabo and put the rest of their money elsewhere and move in and out the minute someone puts a rate up by .01%

    AIB are offering 5% on the first 10K. 7-day Demand account (pretty much the same as instant-access).
