Right folks having issues with the sound on my system,Helix has been tryin to help so far but to no avail!

When playing games there is sound in it,but when it get's to cut scenes there is none!

Have noticed it in Assassains Creed and Uncharted! So basically I've missed the majority of the story in AC but am on the last Assassination. In Uncharted however when there's a cut scene involving the reporter annd camcorder there is sound when you see Drake directly through the lense!

    I'm using a HDMI cable,and everything is connected..also it's a HD TV!

Anybody got solutions to this problem?!

    Thanks,
    Killian

What speakers are connected? Make sure that your PS3 is outputing in stereo if you have stereo speakers, and surround sound if you have surround sound speakers. This can be changed under Setting on the XMB, and in the options menu in Uncharted.

I'm guessing you have the rear L&R surround sound routed to the front L&R.

So when there is sound intended for the rear speakers (during play) it sounds ok, but really isn't. During the cut scenes when there is only front L&R sound you get nothing because this is probably routed to the rear L&R which I guess you don't have.

If you don't have surround speakers, try going into the sound setting on the PS3 and set it to stereo.

But there's no set stereo option in there, you choose Sound Settings and get a menu for Audio Output and Key Tone....choose Audio Output and get a screen for delecting a connecter, then choose the HDMI as that's what I'm using...leads to a screen with the options of Automatic and Manual....but there's nothing in either of them that says Stereo!

So where's this stereo option yer on about?!

Can you describe what speakers & televsion you have, how they are physically connected to the PS3 and what your settings are?
