    Hey,
I was wondering if there was a programme out there that would allow me to run AIM and MSN from the same application?

    Any help appreciated

There are a few, I use Trillian (for AIM, MSN, it also provides support for ICQ, Yahoo and IRC as far as I know).

Adium is the mac equivalent of pidgin. Both use libpurple.

    Pidgin +1.
Supports a host of other protocols, as well as plugins like 'Off The Record' messaging.
