    Hi Guys

    I have submitted on Forums that a Fortean times Forum be created and thinking that it is not a million miles away from the subject matter (I do believe there are differences however) of this Forum, I thought I would seek your thoughts/opinions on the idea! Either here, or here......

    What! No thoughts or opinions at all? 27 views here and a few more in Forums but other than Steves response a resounding disinterest from you guys? I thought I would get some yay/naysayers at least!

    Sounds interesting, why not, I wouldn't mind seeing some of those topic's brought up here as well, may not be able to give comments on some or maybe to much comments on others but it sounds like a good idea and would make for some interesting topics and debates.

    Hope you get it or get a sub-fourm here for it.

    I'd love to see the forum made that bit broader, a sub forum would be great.

    Having thought a bit about this by now I reckon a Forteanification of Paranormal is what is required. A change of name to "Paranormal & Fortean" (or some such) may draw a wider audience and a bunch of stickies relating to Fortean topics would help retain interest in the forum.
    Some Fortean stickies could be
    • Cryptozoology - recent animal discoveries such as the kangaroo rat in the Gobi would lead to much amusement and delight
    • Simulacra - dug up a carrot that look like an old mans todger? Take a snap and share it with the world
    • Odd News followed by Weird Weather - bizarre happenings and strange weather events (Its raining cats and dogs - literally)

    and so on

    I agree with maybe a renaming (maybe with a renaming ceremony & wine?). Paranormal falls into Fortean as opposed to the opposite.

    I don't mind the sub forum idea!(Although personally I think there is enough for a Forum) It would be a bit like Paranormal Lite :D and as such wouldn't fall in to the mainstream paranormal stuff, the examples quoted above are the reasons why I think it should be (slightly) seperate!
